Well, one fast last one, for now. This is the latest update for the Steem Break mug / cup. It is meant for 3D printing in ceramics, but it could do well in other materials too. Scaling down maybe, to be used in multicolor prints, or even pure gold? Allthough Titanium would be much stronger. But before you try to scale it down, make sure that you read the advice of the 3D printing company. For Braze you could scale it down to 25%, but some logo detail would be lost.
One way to see if a 3D model is okay to print with a more expensive material at true scale is by prototyping it on a smaller scale, with a cheap material. With Polyamide for instance, you can scale down a bit, to 69%, or even smaller. Read what the producer advices though. And sometimes scaling differences in 1% almost double the cost. So you'd have to try some settings to get to the right price and material choice. In this post I used the EU based company Materialise as a reference. But there are many different companies world wide that offer an online 3D printing service. So you don't need to buy expensice 3D printing hardware yourself.
So here it is, my Steem Break, your cup of coffee in a Steem on Graphene mug. Feedback is welcome, but I don't know when I will be able to reply.
Enjoy and Steem on all the way!
