There was this idea, bubbling up, about public funding of a foundation through the Steem system. While some funding projects work by sending money to a bankaccount, with Steem this could be done in several ways. And because it is a public ledger it is quite transparant to the public, the supporters. Allthough it is hard to tell where the value will go when it is leaving the Steem realm. At some point it could go to an exchange, joined by a memo.
This is something I'm thinking about that could help regional support for those who need some help. Or a fund for students, or... well anything that could do with some kind of support really. Not sure yet how to prove to the supporters, the upvoters and repliers, that the support gets where it is supposed to go. But there must be some crypto way to solve this. Using the public keys maybe.
Could this work and what would secure the proof of foundation?
And what are your thoughts on using the Steem realm for this?
