I wrote the whitepaper

The literal publisher
In a sense we all can be Nakamoto {中本} Satoshi {さとし}. And state we are the inventor of Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System. And every Tom, Dick and Harry, or Sheila, may say that they are, just like you and I. We all can file a copyright claim, also for something we actually did not even create. Even if we are not the literal initial publisher of any creative work, we could afterwards act as if we were. But would any one in their right mind do such a thing? (That is a retorical question...)
Yes, it is a provocative title, I know, but who knows, I might be Nakamoto. And all that time you did not even have a clue. "Proof it!", some would demand. At that point I may come up with something like: "An INT64 cannot hold a value of a 100 billion, or more. One would need an uINT64 for that." Next pointing out to a change, in the sourcecode of a cryptocoin, I made to correct that mistake. And that is why I am Satoshi Nakamoto. Next I will write the sourcecode for a 'Hello world.' in C++, now if that does not prove it...!?
"Why don't ya move some of yer early BTC ya git!" Yes, yes, true, that would maybe be proof of something. "No ya morron, that would be the ultimate proof, for feck's sake, ya Sheila!" Okay, no need to be rude there. First of all I first would move BSV, then BCH and exchange them for BTC, maybe some LTC. Might even Power Up some Steem. "But that would destroy the value of BCH and BSV!" Exactly, justice be served, getting back what the gambling clones looted in value from the real Bitcoin!
Copyrighted when published
Do you know that Nakamoto Satoshi, whom ever she/ he, or they is/ are, does not even have to file a copyright claim? At the moment of publication it is copyrighted. In the case of the Bitcoin whitepaper it is clear who is the literal writer: Satoshi Nakamoto. Therefore that is the legal copyright holder. No need to file anything. And I could file a copyright claim, just like you. Still, in the whitepaper itself it is clear who owns the copyright: Satoshi Nakamoto.

When is my work protected?
Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device
(I will put the resource links below.)
By the way, this is about text, not about an invention, nor a brandname. Those are handled in other ways. What this proofs though is that Satoshi Nakamoto is the literal writer/ publisher of the Bitcoin whitepaper. Therefore the rightfull copyright owner.
Everybody file a copyright claim!
You know, it is very easy to proof who is, or who are, Nakamoto Satoshi. It is all locked in the private keys that gain access to the early mined BTC. Moving just a tiny amount would be enough to at least make a strong case for the final proof. But I guess the real Satoshi Nakamoto would then use it to move 980 thousand BCH, BSV, BTG, BTD and so on. To destroy all the value of those forking splitting cloning gambling crooks and move it back into the real one and only Bitcoin BTC.
Why is nothing happening though? Yeah, some people might claim copyright of something that already is copyrighted. Which could be fun to do. So let us all file a copyright claim for the Bitcoin whitepaper. Chances are close to zero that we will ever be called to appear in court by the actual Satoshi Nakamoto. And maybe some gambling crooks did count on the creator of Bitcoin to stay hidden in the mysterious Cypherpunk realm for all of enternity? Then every bleeding lie can be sold to the public as being made by Satoshi. "Hey look, in the pre-release code there was a pokergame!" Yeah, right, you bunch of lying gamblers...
Why 980'000?
Apparantly it has been stated that Satoshi Nakamoto mined a lot of BTC. That might be true, or those who intially did never got the chance to move those Bitcoin. It is an interesting number though. Substract 21 million with 980'000 and the result is: 20'020'000 BTC. With a bit of fantasy that could refer to the third of january 2020. Or the first of march. We are dealing with a Cypherpunk (or a bunch of them) after all. Or it does not mean a thing at all.
Who would even believe Satoshi Nakamoto would still publish one word messages or send emails. Like the word 'nour', meaning 'light' translated from Arab. Of course that would be denied by those who dislike the Lightning Network {LN}. Then all Satoshi Nakamoto accounts must have been hacked. And after that it does not even matter anymore what ever is being stated by the legend. Even if it is still the actual individual or group. It is very likely though that the 980'000 BTC will actually never move. Too dangerous for the real Satoshi Nakamoto to do so, I think.
The returning?
At some point, I believe, Satoshi came back. This time under the name of Tom Elvis Jedusor. Sharing with us another blockchain transaction protocol with the name of 'Mimble Wimble'. Anonymous transactions, possible to add as a second layer on Bitcoin and others. True Cypherpunk work. And no ready code this time. And at the moment there are two known MimbleWimble based Cryptos. The ones named Grin and Beam prove what the whitepaper proposed. And apparantly Litecoin is going to implement it as a second layer. After which I guess Bitcoin will follow next. Just before the first of march 2020...?
Another mystery added to the magical Cryptos realm, with its roots in the Cypherpunk movement. Is/ are Satoshi Nakamoto still alive? Is Tom Elvis Jedusor the second coming of the Cypherpunk messiah? Who knows. Anybody could claim she/ he or they is/ are the creator of Bitcoin, the writer of the whitepaper. One thing though might at least prove we deal with a Cypherpunk (or a group of them).
Who ever the individual is, or who they are, it is clear that it is possible to keep it hidden. As if it is the ultimate statement, made by the Cypherpunk movement, that they can make a libertarian dream a reality. Or have us enjoy anarchic freedom for at least a couple of years.
May the Cryptos be with us!
