Debian based 64 bit Linux versions, like Ubuntu.

Version 0.0.1.1 now avaible for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.

Redeemed my PPY and started voting

Had only bought a few during the last Innitial Coin Offering {ICO} period. Just saw that it already had peaked at over 40 US Dollar, but now it is down somewhere at 11. A pattern that often can be viewed after a crypto goes life. It will pick up in value after a while. Installation was a breeze, reminds me of the Bitshares Light software. Quite understandable, as they are relatives.

Bitshares doing very well by the way. After Bitcoin and Ethereum it is in third spot in 24 hour trading volume! And like I stated in another post, we are already well back into the green. With Digitbyte surpassing a lot, climbing hard, over 33% gain in 24 hours. But I am drifting off, sorry, bad habit of mine. Back to Peerplays, just like Bitshares a member of the Graphene family. No, Steem is Chainbase, but that is a close relative. Oops I did it again, didn't I...

The Graphical User Interface {UI} is great, to my liking, my favorite color is blue, so that is already a big plus for Peerplays Core. It is very easy to understand though, really. Even redeeming the PPY (the Peerplays token) I bought during the last ICO phase went very smooth. So there it was, my redeemed PPY, wow, not much though, is it? Even forgot what I payed for them in Steem Backed Dollar {SBD}. It sure looks fine and there will be other Assets available in the near future.

Mainpage Peerplays Core on Ubuntu

In the Play section there is still a few things to come. Dapps like Bookies, sweeps and eight peerplays are coming soon. And they are the beginning. Surely there will be lots of Gaming Dapps added in the near future.

Well, what is a man to do then with all that PPY, well a bit of them Peerplays tokens. Let me do some voting, because I saw that @roelandp and @good-karma where going for a Peerplays witness spot. They are good Steem members so I gave them my vote. And this need to confirm your choice there. Now this vote will cost a very low fee, something we at Steem might find a bit weird. Yet at Peerplays everthing comes at a small fee. It takes a bit of getting used too.

Then there are advisors, which differs a bit from Steem, yet is a bit more like Bitshares. Besides Roeland, Good-Karma does not act as an advisor, I chose @pfunk. And I know there are more Steem members going for witness and or advisors at Peerplays, but I'm just getting the grasp of it. Also my PPY is still quite limited. Maybe I'll vote for some more Steem members.

Now I already noticed that some high placed witnesses missed a lot of blocks already. Our well known Steem members are right on the spot by the way. And I almost would have added: of course did anyone expect otherwise! But that might just have been a wee bit too cocky. It is the nice fast type of blockchain, the (5-4-)3-2-1-Done kind, like Bitshares and our beloved Steem.

My first impression

Well, that is it for now, my first experiences with the Peerplays Core application in GNU Linux 64 bit Ubuntu. And I can state that it all works like a charm. The interface is in clear blue tones and it is easy to find your way around in, straight from the start. It all works smooth and responds fast Redeeming my PPY worked very straight forward. No Gaming Dapps ready yet, but they should be in the near future. And something Steem members might need to get used to is that every action comes with a fee attached. Very tiny ones most of the time, but the price for creating Assets is a different thing.

Voting also comes at a little fee. And there well known Steem members there to vote for as witness and or advisor. All in all it was worth the short wait. Very curious what Peerplays will bring in the near future. The interface of Core is already good advertisement for what is to come.

Have a great one!
