Should I Steem or should I go or can you see the dolphins power down?

This morning I woke up with a song inside my head "Should I stay or should I go", made famous by a band called The Clash. And it is something I'm considering. Leaving SteemIt, however that is not really possible, except for powering down. Well in theory it could, but not until the complete 'Steem on Graphene' blockchain would be gone on all computers in the network, for ever. Seems very unlickely to happen. And it would be sad to leave all the nice things behind too.

Lately it has gotten quite grim, for some part, at SteemIt. Some developments made me even doubt more if it was still worth the time and energy needed to keep posting here. All that havoc tends to take the fun out off it all. And I want to stay as realistic as possible. There are some great people here at SteemIt, some I really do value quite a lot. Also those I did not agree with all the time, but at least that was all with mutual respect. Did like the peace intention that many Steemers seem to have, even though they have different opions. And to see it been taken over by roque entities gives me a bit of a bad mood, even on a sunny day like it is here today.

Could this havoc be stopped and then turned around? Maybe with one Steemer, one vote, but that would render Steem Power useless, triggering a panic power down. And what about all those accounts 'mined' by the lot? If they were all able to vote, then that would not help a lot. But what about using 'reputation' calculated into voting power. And that at least one post has to be made, before being able to vote, meaning not just a reply. In effect that would mean a different kind of bot is needed for havoc causing accounts. At least then any roque bot could be downvoted real hard massively and very effectively. Or am I missing out on something here...?

Well, at least all this trouble going on lately inspired me to start drawing again. And when I come to think of it that rule for the voting power idea, only when at least one post has been made by an account, could be some kind of solution for a lot of bot related trouble. Because it could really get their reputation voted down, once they had to post. Because they would be revealed to the open. Or not? Ah well, time to enjoy the sunny weather outside.

The next song on the album "Combat Rock" is "Rock the Casbah!" by the way.

Have a nice one!
