Sure, great whitepaper.
But why did 'she', 'he' or 'they' abandon ship, without an announcement?
Keep on moving.
Nakamoto Satoshi, the person or group creating Bitcoin {BTC}, made one last post. It was at the Bitcointalk forum on december the twelth 2010. The last post of Nakamoto was about DDOS attacks and the Bitcoin safemode. Nothing indicating that something was about to change and nothing earthshaking. Just another day at the office, while Bitcoin was still in the early days.
From the posts at the Bitcointalk forum it became clear to me that who-ever was Nakamoto Satoshi 'she', 'he' or 'they' was/ were respectfull towards others. Patience, taking time and effort to answer and somehow very balanced, or at least that is my impression. Like many of the brilliant innovative developers out there who make progression. This rules out at least one person in the Bitcoin realm who suggested he was Nakamoto in the flesh. Even taking it serious for a second is just wrong.
But, but, the whitepape...
Ow, please stop it now. By design every Crypto out there fits the line: 'peer to peer electronic cash'. And the name Bitcoin refers to the value of a currency, represented by a coin, stored in a computer bit. It was a proposal, done in a beautifull free and open source way. That is an amazing part of this whole field that emerged from this project. It was ment to evolve, it did kickstart many innovations and look where it is now!
The free peoples money, trustless, decentralized, secured by complex mathematics. Finally the monopoly on money was broken, a free market dream. The huge impact of this still has not been set in the mind of the many. Blockchain technology is still evolving. And there are many brilliant developers that are out there on top of it all, alongside the legendary Nakamoto Satoshi.
Developers move on.
Or contribute to many different projectd, they are commited to coding. Sure there are those who fly solo, or pretend to, shouting and cursing all over the place. Or they are getting aggressive and flip a finger, while calling for world peace. But the real developers like the legend Nakamoto Satoshi are often kind, understanding and follow a higher idea. They do look for colaboration, the secret of the succes that is known as free and open source.
In the competitive closed sourced and certrally controlled realm this is heavily frowned upon. Somebody has to take control, right? And stay there for ever making big business rule over it. Patents, get banks and governments in. Make it ready for doing on chain gambling. To make this world a better place? Fogg off! Making big profits, centralize it by using 4 Giga Byte blocks!
Do you know how rich I am?
That finally was the last straw for me. It was the point where I was sure that Satoshi Nakamoto had disappeared since 12/12/2010. And 'he', 'she' or 'they' became legend that day. If there was one major individuel actually behind the creation of Bitcoin {BTC}, than this person probably wend out off time on the 13th of december 2010. Leaving behind a beautifull legacy for humanity: blockchain technology and Crypto currencies.
And all those Bitcoin fanatics that believe it is supposed to be the only one are just as wrong as those who believe bigger blocks are holy. Just as using bankers money wealth as an argument for any reason. Sure one can make billions in the gambling industry, or by playing hard ball in business. Dealing security with banks and governments, getting rich on that is cool in some circles, I'm sure. But to trust these kind of people with the legacy of Nakamoto Satoshi, don't think so mate...
EOS, the next step.
One of the true innovative developers out there is Daniel Larimer. Creator of Bitshares, Steem and EOS. Controversial to some, even here at the Steem blockchain, while they earn Cryptos using it. As if a developer should stay on one project for ever. While the current developement teams of Bitshares and Steem proof otherwise. And I do find it also disrespectfull to them to blame Daniel Larimer for moving on to new projects. C'mon, this is not a centrally controlled competitive conservative business! EOS will help Steem progress too!
There are projects that want business to take control. To me a dark example of that is bitcoin cash {bch}. Mining it is already centrally controlled and it runs on looted fake virtual value, with an enforced larger chain. Funny enough the original Bitcoin whitepaper warns us for scams like bch. Which is quite ironic to me as it is claimed to be the real deal... Would not be surprised if even the amount of transactions is being manipulated right now.
DPOS is the Satoshi spirit.
Delegated Proof Of Stake {DPOS} is in line with the innovative progressive spirit of Satoshi Nakamoto. It is tough to keep ASIC mining out off centralized business control. Being able to vote for block producers might not be perfect, but I prefer it over ASIC business control from China. Bitcoin {BTC} is still safe though, where bitcoin cash was compromized from the start.
And my own portfolio does contain Proof Of Work {POW} Cryptos like Dogecoin, Litecoin and Bitcoin. Recently added Bitcoin Gold because it managed to push ASICs out again. But at some point the developement teams of the POW Cryptos might have a serious look into the DPOS invention of Daniel Larimer. As Bitshares, Steem and EOS already solved many blockchain challenges. The amount of transactions in a day are there to prove it.
Innovate on the legacy.
Where Satoshi Nakamoto has gone to seems unknown to the many. From the sudden silence since the 13th of december 2010 I do expect the worst. Even though there was an apparent message coming from the old email address, containing a strong anti big blocks statement. That was a little while back and without further signed proof it really was the legend that spoke again.
No, it seems the legend is to stay silent for ever. And all that is left is a beautifull free and open source project that started out as the Bitcoin whitepaper. Since then it inspired many different blockchain innovations, like Steem. And it seems the legacy is still in progression with projects like EOS and many others. All thanks to one world famous whitepaper and the free and open source community.
Blockchain technology almost as beautifull as nature.
