Great to see that Steem(It) proves to be in 'beta', meaning evolving, innovation along the way. And I do mean it like I typed it out. If the earth would not turn on it's axis, did not evolve around the sun, life would be less interesting. That is, if it would have even be possible then. What I mean is that it is a good thing that things like promotion got in.
Allready knew this from Minds dot com, where it is called 'boost' and that gives you a little bit more 'trending' effect. And overthere the credits you throw at it actually guarantees you views of your content. Which I mostly used for promoting Steem, and resulted even in a prejudiced motivated discussion about SteemIt and Steem. But also some open minded (catch my drift, hahaha) fellow human beings wanted to shift their paradigm and tried it by themselves. And any day now I will throw another bunch of credits to boost SteemIt promotion at Minds. Because I like Steem on Graphene and the way SteemIt is constantly evolving.
And I read that there are some major changes ahead for the motor beneath it all, Steem on Graphene. Some will deal with the abuse of downvoting, as far as I understand it. So it seems a 'false' flag would be harder to raise in the near future. Also some malafide use of (bulk) accounts will be addressed and made more difficult to do. And self-voting seems to come to a halt, at some point. Spliting payment rewards, and planed recurring payments, like Bitshares, seem to be on the 'to do' list. So, Steem dynamics, much excitement!
Also it recently could be witnessed what a large deal of the market traders see as the lowest price offer on Steem. At the 29th of august 2016 it was settled at 0.00123454 BTC. And shortly after that the 'buy low, sell high' got triggered. The days to come will show where it will go from here. Seems to ease out a bit around 0.0016 BTC for now.
But no matter what, when the going gets tough, the Steemers get going!
