Maybe Hive gets another name?

Well, that is not even the most important issue right now.

Used Blocktrades dot US to swap a little Steem for Hive.

After the 20th of march 2020, when the Hive blockchain wend live, I did stop most of my activities on the Steem blockchain. With that I also did not see much use in slamming the oal' git. It was predicted that some would want to do that. And thus they did, while there are a few who still do so. Guess it is a divorce alike proces, we all deal with it in our own unique way. Some go over there to have a few good last hard forks with the ex. Getting some more Steem out in the proces, to be exchanged for some extra Hive later on. To me it would be like remembering that those past hard forkenings actually were not that good at all. So I also initiated a Steem Power Down {PD} almost right away.

To me there is not much use in confirming all that I predicted that would happen, did happen. Although in a way I guess I just did? Well, I do understand that it is still possible to milk the oal' Steem cow and get some Honey in return for it. But I guess I am a bit stubborn, even down to a dumb-arse level sometimes, when it comes to my principles. Guess that I already made that choice when I supported the soft-fork and I still stand for that. Also I do think that those whining that they were just acting 'neutral' should take responsibility for their own actions. Just like we all have to do. And some still do not seem to get that. Even though they can actually use their Hive account, there just ain't no honey in it.

But I do not see any use in trying to convince those that voting for 'the other side' is not being neutral at all. Not voting at all would have been. Who cares though, their choice of action, their consequences to deal with. The whining afterwards does start to become a little pathetic to me. And I do not even care if there maybe was a 'talented' individual among those who stayed behind. As Hive does have the most of the talents on board, to me that is like lose a little to win the lot. Forgiving is good, but also remember what has been forgiven, to prevent it from happening again. The recent events have had many people drop their mask. Where I do see a difference now that is quite clear to me: the split in essence was about authoritarians versus libertarians. And soft-fork 22.2 was the right to protect the blockchain against an attacker.

So, Hive it is, even if it gets renamed.

To many who moved over right away it has been very hard to understand how free born humans even can live within a virtual digital authoritarian Community. But I think in retrospect to what happened at Steem this must at least be a wake-up call. Mister 'Hairdo' was eager to state he was a 'Libertarian', on many occasions, but hey, opportunists will claim anything to be true. That is, as long as they can get a personal gain from it. It is even fun to watch some frustrated publications on the Steem blockchain now. As some really prove what I expected already. (Shait, so now I did slam about the place a little...)

Some seem to be pulling on a dead horse its leg, or so it seems. My Steem price prediction, for those who have a lot invested in there, is about 15 USA Dollar Cents, on average. Where I do take into consideration that I expect mister 'Tron' to enforce a Steem hard-fork very soon. Which will shorten the Power Down period to about between 3 and 7 days. Because one thing authoritarians tend do is that they want to loudly shout their narcissistic megalomaniac plans even before they consult some of their advisers. Those advisers then have to glue the pieces together, afterwards, tough job. And when they are almost done doing so, BOOM, another blindly fired dumdum bullet causing havoc all over the place. Yet, those who pay attention will take note and know that it will be done as it has been shouted in the first place. So stay sharp, watch what 'the maniac' is doing, if you still have a lot of Steem at stake. Luckily you also got that sweet Hive Honey, still win-win, eh... ;-)

Hive will become expensive at first

At least that is what I expect to happen after the 27th of march 2020. Because a lot of Hivers will want to sell their first Steem PD {Power Down} and buy Hive to Power Up {PU}. Depending on what mister 'Tron' has planned this could take from 1 to 13 weeks. Though not all will buy Hive, other Cryptos will be bought too. And some might choose to cash out their Steem. Yet it seems quite safe to expect the price of Hive to go up first. Although I expect the 'Tron side' to keep the price of Steem up too. So, there might be a peak, caused by market manipulation, not so much as caused by a bull-run. Those will go for the Honey. Exciting times ahead.

And I hope that you can get a good price for the Steem you sell. It might even be mister 'Tron' who does buy. Trying to keep the price of Steem up as high as possible. So besides time, irony might be on our side too. When the total Power Down of Steem has been done I do expect that Token to move over to the Tron Blockchain. As was the plan in the first place. But hey, if you are already here, I guess you have chosen well. And those who did not get some Honey, but have an account here, they can still buy many Hive, right? (And I do not really mind if they still get there airdrop. They probably have learned their lesson by now, right?)

Honey on?

There is this company that does not like the name of our Blockchain. And I do not know if they have a real legal case. But changing the name of Hive to something slightly different, like Haif, is probably not the hardest thing to do. Many dApps have been ported over and new ones pop up. As I was trying to log into Steem-Engine dot com I noticed that there was nothing there. So I hope that there will be a renamed duplicate active soon. Guess we are not there yet and so far it sure has been exciting.

Outside the world is partly going bonkers, but even that will someday go back to 'normal'. The sun is out here today, leafs are starting to pop out and temperatures are rising. Guess it aint half bad...

PS Please note that my predictions have been done using three rented piglets, a bucket and some truffels. Therefore hence my note: Only invest what you are willing and able to lose.

Swarm on!

Luck is on our side too (Yes, it is a bit naughty. 😄).
