Open Sourced under MIT license by SteemIt incorporated, recently announced in a SteemItBlog post. This is going to give Steem(d) an enormous boost! Other developers can contribute, new projects will start and it will be forked. If there are good things in any of those projects they can be back ported, making Steem even better than good! Did not know this would be the part where Steem went from being great to becoming huge! This implements that there is enough trust in the way Steem currently works from SteemIt incorporated.

Just had to share this news with you. Although I guess this will create quite a buzz on the Steem blochchain and beyond. So hold on to your Steem, 'cause it might go beyond expectations. My mind is buzzing too right now, questions, ideas, the App plugin, sidechains in native languages, more pegged Smart bitMoney besides Steem Backed Dollar. Other Steem based blockchains that have their own unique feature connected to the IPFS. Steem getting connected to IPFS, Daniel Larimer connecting his next project, involving Smart Contracts, to Steem. Bitshares, Steem, Golos, Peerplays and bitContracts getting interwoven. The fastest "1-2-3-BLOCK", best scaling Blockchain types will gain more and more attraction together.

Okay, calm down, pffff, otherwise I won't be able to sleep. But kidding aside this is a beautifull gift by SteemIt Incorporated to not only to all of us in the ever growing Steem Community but also to the Crypto realm and the Open Source community. This is mind blowing, well for me it is right now.

So, thank you Ned and the team from SteemIt incorporated to take this step towards an exciting and open future for Steem!
