Woke up at two last night. Could not get back to sleep right away. Went downstairs and started to watch some video's. Some about the earth being flat? Right, and our moon is made of Suisse cheese. But, I was curious and want to keep an open mind. There is a lot that I was taught to believe that turned out to be the opposite. And there were actually points made that left me with some questions.

The visible curve of the earth. It can be calculated relative to a distance. Meaning that at some point very high and or large objects will disappear behind the visual horizon. Yet, it seems the calculations do not fit the emperical proof. Which also seems to be the case at large flat spaces, like in the salt desserts. No bending horizon visible where theory claims it should.

Go on then, pull the other one

A lot of us know the perfect round sphere image that is supposed to be our planet. It is an artists piece of work. And he made no secret of it that he had to use graphical software to create it. It is, what is known as, an artists impression. Scientists allready stated that it is in fact a flattened spheroid. This even questions the supposed photos taken from the moon. And it seems like it was a copy-paste image.

But, come on, why all the effort to create a fantasy reality. A make belief for what reason. So, okay, there are some things that do make no sense. Or maybe I'm not educated enough in math and logic? But there was a time I believed what I was taught about economics too. Until I became aware of how it really worked and then I woke up. Suddently it all started to make sense. And no matter what, the truth had set me free and I could not be put back to sleep again.

But what about the earth's spin

The earth is supposed to turn around it's own axis at a constant speed of about Mach 1. Or close to the speed of sound. Now, if I would have a helicopter that only could go straight up, what would happen? Let's say I was able to stay up there, for half an hour, how far would I have travelled? Remember, the earth is supposed to move underneath me at the speed of sound.

That gave me a weird feeling. That can not be right, right? Somewhere the flat earth conspiracy must have made their idea to fit no matter the means. But the moving earth really got to me. What am I missing out on?

If planes were to fly in the same direction as the earth moving. They would need to go at Mach 2, at least. Getting worse the higher they would go. If the earth moves at about Mach 1 then it would more sense to only fly in the opposite direction. A straight up helicopter could 'go' around the world in 24 hours. Just by staying above the ground. Or am I missing out on some essential knowledge here?

And what about airports, if the earth moves at sound speed? And could the runway only be an East to West one?

So, what do you think? At some point I thought that it just cannot be right. Congnitive dissonance doing it's thing. Still I'm keeping an open mind, cause it could be wrong, or it could be right.

Have a good one and Steem on!
