Finally?

Fun is something that can work too.

One great thing about Cryptos is that it is Free and Open Source in its roots. There are those that call any Crypto other than Bitcoin degeneratingly 'alts'. Even though they might own some of their own. It is part of a downgrading game. Yet to me it seems that some have a difficult time understanding what Free and Open Source really means. Cryptos are to be many. Whether I like every new fork or split is irrelavent. It's Cryptostime (https://steemit.com/song/@oaldamster/do-the-know-it-s-cryptostime-lohaim) that's all it is and it can be fun!

Like Dogecoin fun, for instance. Yes I know, it has been called a 'jokecoin', which is about twisting words. The original developers of Dogecoin created it having fun. It is some serious programming though. Because any developer, with programming skills, could create a substantive Crypto, it could be a fun one too. And by the power of Meme, Doge came into excistence. Much wow, such cheap, many fast!

It is however a serious Crypto, with a fun factor added. And the practical use defines whether it gains any value or not. Dogecoin can be put to good use. It is fast, stable, secure and very cheap to use. The famous: "But can you buy a cup of coffee with it?", would be answered: YES! And without the transactions cost being more than in value than the coffee itself. While Steem is even at ZERO transaction cost and only 3 second confirmation, DOGE does not need an account to be used. It is like the digital equivalent of cold-hard-cash.

Bridge to Ethereum and more

Contrary to the nonsense being spread sometimes about Dogecoin, it is still being actively developed. There is a developement that will make Doge available on Ethereum and vica versa. But no matter if some people believe there should be only one Crypto, being Bitcoin, or not, Dogecoin is here to stay. And apparantly there are many that at least see some future potential in DOGE.

This is part of something huge. It is great that we have Cryptos, a self regulating trustless system. No more intermediates that want to take control over every aspect of our live. Dogecoin is part of that, it is serious fun, that can actually be used. It is amazing that something like DOGE could be created and is used on a large scale.

Or that anybody can create their own name token. For private or business use, it can be done. Some have practical use, others will disappear even faster as they were created. But some are here to stay and make a difference, like Dogecoin. And it now looks like it is really going to be the year of the Doge after all...
