Had not been at Cryptopia for a long time. It is the one where also Slothcoin found it's trading home. Although I still am keeping my SLOTH in wallet, I wanted to speculate a bit with the Gulden I bought recently. Just spreading the portefolio with some crypto valuta to play with. Cryptopia is based in New Zealand and has a lot to offer, no rubbish registration and really a lot of different alt-coins. That can be traded in a few differents markets. Bitcoin, Dotcoin, Litecoin, Doge, Feathercoin, Unobatanium and Monero. Off course one missing there is Steem. They have very strict rules before letting coins in. Still a lot of alt-coins can be traded there.
Because of my involvement with Slothcoin I came to Cryptopia. Had been very satisfied with their service. And recently I saw that they had expanded their services even more. So I created a deposit address for Gulden {NLG} and send mine. Wanted to sell in any market, that was best to trade for Zcash {ZEC}. And then I saw that I had to withdraw my Gulden, because the latest wallet was incompatible with their system. Well, that's nice... Should not be able to create a deposit address then at the first place right? Luckily I managed to get my NLG out in time, so now I'm looking for another exchange to get sell them. And get more Zcash.
Why Zcash?
Well, I think that although at first it was just absurd the way the price exploded, it has been quite stable for a while. Somewhere around 50 USD, while the market capacity slowly catches on. Now in the charts it still is lingering on. Spot 13, but when I sort to trading in 24 hours, then it is at 9th place. And in the green figures.
Yes, the innitial launch went like crazy, but that has stabilized itself already for quite a while now. And I speculate(!) that this one is going to be the next number one, in the long run. Even if Bitcoin reaches consensus about SegWit, any time soon? Yes, although I think BTC will be dominating the market for quite a while, at above 85%. But many will move from other alt-coins to Zcash this year.
Only put in what you can afford to lose
Anyway, now I already lost time, and the price of Zcash is on the rise. So I need to find an exchange fast, so I can sell my Gulden and get me some Zcash. Be warned though, like I wrote many times before, the major rule in crypto, only put in what you are able/ willing to lose. Because speculation is mainly a gamble...
