Typing this on my mobile using the awesome eSeem app. It is sunday morning and I think I was supposed to write something about planting a magical bean. Or why more Steem Power will grow more Steem Power.

Well, it currently does not help to balance out the loss on the value I had. But yesterday I drew some graphs that also shows a slow down in Steem price drop. Allthough it looks like it will take up to the third week of november 2016 to show a clear rise again. At least that is what my crystal ball showed me. It's a gamble, or to tell you in a more fancy way, I'm speculating on the price developement of Steem.

A while ago the virtual worth of my account was massive. When I showed the content of my Steem wallet to my brother he was stunned. And asked me why I left it there. Or was it impossible to get it out. Then I showed him my Bitcoin wallet and convinced him to get one on his mobile. It was his birthday, so I send him some BTC. Told him to be patient. And shortly after the price crashed, not because Bitcoin failed, but some humans did not understand how to secure data. Anyway, I kept my cool.

Still Powering up

And if you follow my posts you know I'm not always able to keep it cool. With Steem(It) I'm more then someone with some cryptos in a wallet. It is a Social Media platform on a blockchain, that makes a lot of difference. And I know a thing or two about blockchains. Read a few whitepapers, some more than once. Like the one about Steem on Graphene, the solid base of SteemIt. And I can really advice you to do the same. Because it is really open and transparant.

That is also why I'm convinced some suggestions that are being done to make the competition more fair are no solution at all. They jusr are making it more complex to use scaring potential new content providers away. And that is bad for attracting attention growth. This is what it is about, the attention economy. At least that is how I'm convinced the focus will be on the road ahead for this platform. Any diversion from that reality will harm the price of Steem. At least that is my point of view...

So, I kept my trust, by the power inVESTed by me, and held on to my Steem Power. And even Powered up my earned Steem most of the time.

But what about that magic

My brother would ask me why I did not start a Power down right at the moment I had that huge payout. Don't remember how high it was, but I could have done so like he said. Still I kept my Steem Power and let it grow. While the virual value dropped. But I allready had made some Steem Backed Dollar, that was liquide enough for me. So I kept my VEST in Steem Power.

There are advantages that come from having Steem Power. Some of that I think are best to best changed for the good of Steem. But others I would leave to be. Will get back to that in a future post. Because I know you now would like to know what the magical power of Steem is...

Well, it's all in the whirepaper for you to see...

Just kidding, I will tell you. It is simple, every timer round a certain amount of new Steem is created by the blockchain network.

This is being used for curation payouts and for Steem Power distribution. The more VEST you have the more Steem Power you get every round. And when you look at your Wallet you can witness this magic happen every day.

More Steem Power will grow more

That might look like magic, but it is build in logic. Allthough I can understand that when you saw this happen, with no curation, no posting, it did seem like magic.

And the cool thing about this? Everybody at SteemIt has some power VESTed in Steem. So every member of the community gets a share of the round pie.

If you want to get more Steem Power or not, that is up to you. When I look at the buy and sell prices on the market I see that they are close together in value. So quite steady, I think.

Still keeping my Steem Power up because I like that little touch of magic.

Have a nice one! image
