The transaction costs will go up too.
About 0.84 USD is still a lot more expensive than 0.0013 USD, or is it not?
DOGE still the cheapest widely supported one.
Now b2x was cancelled there is going to be some value movement, mostly on the Bitcoin field. The bcash market will move upwards, maybe even to a 1000 USD. Now before you start to cheer, be aware that this has an impact on the transaction price too. The higher the price of bcash {BCH} on the market, the more expensive its transactions will become. It is the burdon of irony, I guess. At one point wanting to become more expensive than Bitcoin {BTC} itself. While on the other hand that will destroy the people's money suggestion, as propagated by the bigger blocks movement. Because the more expensive BCH {bcash} becomes, the higher the cost per transaction. One thing is easy to prove for BCH and BTC though, they are both not the cheapest Cryptos to use for transactions.
At a certain point I did refer to the other Cryptos as Alts too. But I came to understand that this is just feeding the Bitcoin purists. While I think there are so many less earth warming Cryptos out there, that deserve more credit. Like the ones that I already have promoted before: Litecoin {LTC} and Vertcoin {VTC}. But they too have the challenge that the more popular they become, the higher their price per Crypto unit, the higher the cost per transaction. With Bitcoin and Bcash it does get worse with more inputs to get the value needed to send. Same goes for all Bitcoin sourcecode forks. The best supported, widely spread, fast and cheap Crypto in that category is still Dogecoin {DOGE}. This is a different path taken, it is about the Crypto to serve humanity best. And so far it seems to be Dogecoin.
When it comes to the claim of being fast and cheap, Doge is the one, 0.0013 USD per transaction that is the price to beat. No low or zero transaction fees there that just fill up the waiting list. It is true that there is something like Steem, that has no transaction costs attached, except some vesting is needed to be able to interact with the blockchain. Still, that would be the cheapest, if it were not for the need to register and fill in the key for every financial transaction. Cryptos like DOGE just use addresses to move value from one part of the world to another. At one DOGE cost per Kilo Byte {KB} of data. And for day to day use this is very convient. Being it small very amounts of value, even half a cent worth, up to thousands or more. DOGE can do it fast and cheap.
Cryptos all of them.
Recently I have read and reread the Bitcoin Whitepaper. Especially because of all the purist beliefs that have started to create myths on their own. Belief systems, sometimes almost turning into a kind of religious fanatism. That convinced me for a large part to stop using the term Alts and just use Cryptos. Therefore, Bitcoin is one, like Bcash, Ethereum, Bitshares, Steem, Litecoin, Vertcoin and of course Dogecoin. But there are thousands more, also being Cryptos. That is the united realm, to me that is important. It is the alternative as a whole. A while ago I even started to understand that there is actually no use in discussing what the so called real Bitcoin is. That is just adding to the belief system that there only was supposed to be a thing called Bitcoin. While the whitepaper itself was a proposal. And moved on to a MIT licensed Free and Open Source project. That anyone can fork for changes and innovation. Each with their own unique Genesis block and blockchain. Many showed the guts and some got the glory too.
What is needed is an electronic payment system based on cryptographic proof instead of trust, allowing any two willing parties to transact directly with each other without the need for a trusted third party.
To me that sums it up what the Nakamoto Sathoshi developement team came up with. And finally released to the public. Since then there were a lot of innovations. And even brought forth Cryptos that are technicaly much better than the old Bitcoin itself. Where purist belief that it has to be like that. It is almost, like I wrote before, getting very close to a kind of fanatical religion in some quarters. Think about the joke who many Bitcoin purists are needed to change a lightbulb? A 101, 1 to actually change it and a 100 to argue about how Nakamoto Satoshi would have done it. The upsite of this all? Well, let them do what they feel the need to do and use the Cryptos that you want to use. If that is Bcash, let it be so. But do not tell me it is the cheapest and fastest, because that is that bogus. Than I would have to state that this honour is given to Dogecoin. (Considering it is the widest accepted, used and supported cheap and fast Crypto.)
If you want to store large value safe in Bitcoin, as being BTC, than I agree to that. Where speculation on Litecoin and especially Vertcoin might get quite some ROI {Return On Investment}, going for that one too. But no matter what, taking into to account that no registration is needed, than DOGE is the one to go for the people. It is fast and cheap, so please stop pumping it on the cryptocurrency market! Ah, well, if you must... :-p
Remember though...
Only invest in Cryptos what you are willing and able to lose. As your speculation might be as bad or as good as mine.
May the Cryptos be with you!
Woof, DOGE so much cheap and fast!
