It seems LTC gained a lot more market trust lately.
The Omni layer might move to the Litecoin blockchain including the USD Tether.
Litecoin the new digital gold?
There is a lot going on lately in the cryptos realm. Very exciting times, at one point the market is flooted with useless ICOs {Initial Coin Offerings} that just are going for the next goldrush. While on the other hand there are great promising developements like EOS doing well with their ITO {Initial Token Offering}. Yet it can be quite confusing to see all those ICO countdowns and not get caught in the FOMO {Fear Of Missing Out}. Best to do some research first before even thinking about investing, I think. What kind of team is it, is there Proof Of Technology and is it Free and Open Source? That last one is important for me. As I have had bad experiences with a closed sourced crypto. And I believe Free and Open Sourced is the best way to go.
Currently Litecoin is going for gold, and there is almost a rush on it. There is some new technology coming on august first. Which is kind of nice timing, because the Bitcoin community is signing their future or their end at that day. At least that is how I see it. Because like me there are many others who think BTC is starting to become a crypto joke. And what is the next thing to take its place? Yes, Litecoin and it seems that there might be some market movement towards LTC, that will give it quite a boost to the next ceiling of a 100 US Dollar. A lot of mining pools started to support Litecoin, more exchanges added a market for it. And there are layer technologies that are about to move away from Bitcoin towards the Litecoin blockchain. And that one already has begun developing towards scaling...
Now, I do not know Charly Lee, full time head developer for Litecoin, is indeed Nakamoto Satoshi, as is rumoured, but he sure is a very clever man. Also the stubbern Bitcoin miners, that are cutting into their own flesh, have only themselves to blame if there is a hardfork that will drop the BTC value instantly. At least that is what I expect to happen, if there is a move towards SegWit for Bitcoin though, I expect it to go fast beyond the 3000 USD ceiling. But the past does not really give hope. The pro and contra Segwit camps seem still to be like two dogs fighting over a bone. And I gues Litecoin is going to have it for diner...
By the way, only invest in cryptos what you are willing and able to lose. Also your speculation might be as bad or as good as mine. It is important to realize this. Because my posts reflect the way I look at it and that might be way off. Although I still believe that when the ICO goldrush flooding the crypyo market is over then it will go past the 120 billion US dollar ceiling. And I still think Steem should go to 12 US Dollar, as the next ceiling. But, I might be totally wrong, of course...
Anyway today I need to sell some LTC for Euro, to pay some unforseen bills. And I am now waiting for the right moment to do so. And it looks like LTC is at temporary ceiling of 47 US Dollar. But I do have that gut feeling, the hunch, that LTC is going to surprise us all. To a level even where Bitcoin really should get all noses pointing in the same direction and that for me seems to be the SegWit way.
Have a great one!
And when the cryptos market went dark, there was Lite
