Made me think about the promotion button becoming obsolete in effect. Reblogging is very powerfull, where promoting a post is just a big gamble. By using 'reblog' you can actually share articles that matter to you. Or introduce some Steemers you follow to the ones that are following you in their feed. And there are some replies that have been written that could be blogposts in themselves. By a reblog it will stay out of the 'tjeeta' claws and so on, while still getting more attention across the network. So, at first sight I do appreciate this new extension to Steem(It). And maybe I will use the promote button for my own posts, but I'm not sure if I will use that one at all. Or it must be because I know 'burning' some Steem Backed Dollar {SBD} is good for the intrensic value of Steem {STM}.
Maybe some confusing at first. Reblogs appearing in the same 'tab' as post made by myself. But, Steem(It) is still in Beta so anything could change really. Maybe another 'tab' that says 'reblog', or some visual mark that shows it is a reblog at the user page too, just like it appears in the feed. Still fun to be here, with these changes taking place every now and then. Curious to see where this one takes SteemIt next. Maybe in the beginning a lot of reblogging will be done, cooling down after a while. At least I know at first I was like: "OOH YEAH, REBLOG, REBLOG, REBLOG, WOOT WOOT!", but I've allready calmed down a bit.
These are exciting times, being able to get payed fully in Steem Power {SP} per post, The first SteemFest conference just around the corner (in time and space) and now another great function added in the form of 'reblog'. Almost makes me wonder if there are still things that can suprise met like maybe another Graphene base project, BlockPay hitting the streets, Steem SideChains and stuff like that. Anyway, still more to come... So, steem on!
Have a good one!
